Our team (pictured to the right) has over 60 years of collective experience in delivering high quality work in personal injury claims. Regardless of which team member works on your matter, they will be supervised by either Sarah Scott or Chris Dewey who are directors in the commercial department.

The personal injury team at Ward Gethin Archer acts for victims of accidents and clinical negligence on a conditional fee (no win-no fee) basis.

As long as your claim is regarded as having reasonable prospects of success, we will enter into a Conditional Fee Agreement with you at the outset of the matter.  You will pay nothing towards your legal fees until conclusion of the claim and we will pay all expenses incurred along the way, to include obtaining medical evidence, court fees, barrister’s fees etc.  

Upon conclusion of the claim we will recover a success fee from the compensation awarded to you.  The success fee is guaranteed never to exceed 25% of compensation recovered.  In lower value claims, i.e. those with a value up to £10,000, the success fee will normally be the full 25% of compensation recovered.  In claims of a higher value the success fee may actually work out to be a smaller percentage of compensation recovered.  This can be explained to you at the free, no-obligation initial meeting.

In some cases, we may need to carry out some investigatory work in the first 4-6 weeks before being able to decide whether your claim has reasonable prospects of success.  In those matters we may charge a fee for the initial work which would be calculated on hourly rates of between £195 and £275 and/or ask you to cover the cost of obtaining initial medical evidence.  We may be able to give you a fixed fee for the investigatory work.  This would be discussed at the initial meeting.
