I live locally to King’s Lynn with my family.
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, travelling and making memories. I also enjoy fitness, and playing netball.
I am a president of the King’s Lynn and West Norfolk Law Society, and I am a Governor of a local nursery school. I have previously been a Trustee of counselling charity Relate.
I joined Ward Gethin Archer in September 2009 as a trainee solicitor and qualified in September 2011, since 2010 I have specialised exclusively in family law.
Having attended the University of Leicester and also Demontfort University, I gained valuable early career experience in the Leicester area between June 2012 and September 2014 working closely with a lawyer who also sat as family specialist Judge.
I rejoined Ward Gethin Archer in October 2014 and was made a Director of the firm in April 2017.
In 2019 I became a family mediator and continue to offer family mediation to local families.
As a Director and head of the Family Department, I am responsible for the family team across all of the firm’s offices. I am also responsible for the firm’s marketing.
In my role as a Family Solicitor, I can help with all aspects of family law including divorce, civil partnership dissolution and the financial issues that follow a relationship breakdown. I specialise in issues regarding children such as child contact arrangements and residence disputes. I also advise on the preparation of cohabitation agreements, separation agreements, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and change of name deeds.
I have a particular interest in dealing with families who run companies and have complex assets, and I frequently represent families with public sector pension schemes, such as armed forces pensions. I have extensive experience with dealing with military families and serving personnel.
I provide mediation for all family matters, including divorce, separation, finances and children issues.
I love that we are a local firm with offices in market towns. Ward Gethin Archer are very involved in the local communities and attend many events from careers fairs to summer carnivals. It is great getting out and about and meeting local people throughout the year.
I also am the founder of East Anglian Women in Business (EAWIB), sponsored by Ward Gethin Archer, which is a free monthly networking group with meetings held at several locations in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire. EAWIB provides a platform for local business women to meet and share their knowledge and expertise.
I love what I do and I love being able to help people through what is often a difficult period in their lives. I bring decisive action to cases supported by clear advice.
As a member of Resolution, I follow their principles of working in a family focused way in recognition of the fact that parties will often benefit from having an amenable relationship with each other going forward after separation, often for the benefit of the children.
I try to work in the most cost-effective way possible for clients and offer a variety of different options to suit each client’s budget.
I help all sorts of people from different walks of life in a varied range of situations and always strive to achieve a positive end result.
