I am Lancashire born and bred.
When I’m not working, I generally like to go out and about exploring places. Be it visiting friends and family who are now scattered around the UK and indeed the world, or off on an adventure seeing something I read about somewhere. Closer to home, I love wandering around the beautiful and varied Norfolk countryside.
There is generally a book in my bag as I tend to devour them. I also love Country Music.
I studied for my Law Degree at Leicester University before going on to complete my postgraduate LPC at The College of Law in Chester.
I started my legal career at a firm on the East Coast of Norfolk as a Trainee Solicitor and qualified there. I remained with the firm for 13 years, before deciding that it was time for a change.
Initially working in property law, I soon gravitated towards my preferred specialism, Private Client work. I advise on the whole range of Private Client work from Court of Protection and powers of attorney to wills, trusts and inheritance tax planning. My main area of work is assisting with the administration of a client’s Estate after their death.
I have worked within a legal environment since 2006, qualifying in 2008 and have specialised in Wills and Probate since 2008.
I joined Ward Gethin Archer’s Dereham office as a Solicitor at the beginning of December 2019 to become a part of their successful Private Client team.
I am looking forward to supporting and hopefully strengthening the already thriving Private Client team there.
I like to think I am an approachable Solicitor with a good sense of humour. I treat clients with respect and integrity so that together we can work towards achieving a good outcome.
I am aware that personal situations and families come with varying degrees of complexity and in all shapes and sizes.
By talking to me as openly as possible, I can give the best advice I can and get the ‘best fit’ for each specific situation.
