We offer a range of fixed fees starting at £625 + VAT + court fee, if you are the Applicant. If you are the Respondent (ie the person receiving the divorce application from your spouse) we charge £325 + VAT to act on your behalf, provided the divorce is undefended and no supplemental applications are being made.

We sometimes offer a fixed fee structure, bur will always discuss fees directly with you and provide you with detailed costs estimates. Cases can vary widely and may be resolved successfully out of court or they may require one or more court hearings. Sometimes it may be necessary to obtain expert reports for example in relation to asset valuations or the division of pensions.
Sometimes it becomes necessary to start Court proceedings to decide where children should live and how much time they should spend with each parent. It may also be necessary to begin Court proceedings to decide on issues such as which school a child should attend, whether one parent be allowed to re-locate with a child or change his or her surname. To act on your behalf, our fees are typically in the region of £3500 + VAT (£4200 inclusive of VAT) for work up to and including representation at the first court hearing. We may agree a fixed fee with you for this stage of work and please discuss this directly with us. There is a court fee to pay on issue of the application, currently £263.

To draft a Cohabitation Agreement, a Pre or Post Nuptial Agreement, or a Separation Agreement, our charges start at £1000 plus VAT (£1200 including VAT). Costs may be higher than this depending on the level of work involved and complexity, however this will be outlined to you if this is the case at the start of your matter.

Should you wish to change your name, we can prepare a Change of Name Deed on your behalf for £100 plus VAT - £120 including VAT.
